Flemington Spotlight: Flemington DIY

Welcome to Flemington DIY, an all-age, volunteer-run non-profit. Flemington DIY is an art space offering live music, art shows, classes, workshops, screen printing, and more. It is also a community of people working together to provide a home for the arts in Flemington. Founded In May of 2014, Flemington DIY has fostered an arts community for all ages, sustained by generous donations, and grants, and assistance from the Borough of Flemington. Their mission is to provide an inclusive art space that engages the community and the burgeoning local arts scene, inspires social change, and invigorates Flemington’s economic development.

Some of the programs include Fiber Freaks Knitting Group, Kick StART Art Classes, Print Club, Tai Chi, and True Voice Project.

As a 100% volunteer-run collective, they value collaboration, shared knowledge, self-expression, and meaningful communication. Their space serves not only as a meeting place but also as a gallery and performance venue. Flemington DIY offers multi-purpose rooms and workspace, providing music recording and production, painting and art studios, rehearsal rooms, and a media library. Located in a former bank on Main Street, the setting provides a unique atmosphere to create and come together.

Currently, they are creating virtual and outdoor events to keep everyone together and safe during the pandemic.  Head over to their website to see how you can get in on the fun: https://www.flemingtondiy.org.
