Summer Stage on Stangl – Steve Kunzman

TAPinto Flemington-Raritan and the Flemington Community Partnership are combining efforts to present the “Summer Stage on Stangl”: free outdoor music concerts on “The Lawn on Stangl”, the new community space on Stangl Road in Flemington. All concerts will be on Wednesday evenings in August, starting at 6:30pm under a tent.

Steve Kunzman emerges as an expert in rendering the essence of home as restorative power, as light in the distance and light in the heart, through his multifarious music on sophomore CD, Back Home. With two-time Grammy-winning producer Ben Wisch – who has also produced albums for Marc Cohn, Patty Larkin, Peter Wolf ¬– and other accomplished musicians, Steve offers songs of deep, soul-stirring Americana. A current of solace through connection runs throughout, with moods ranging from rollicking to whisper-soft and twang to mist-dripping melodies.

Attendees need to bring chairs and blankets to sit on, and are welcome to bring food and drink. Please also bring a trash bag, to carry your trash out with you, as The Lawn at Stangl is an environmentally friendly area.
