Summer Stage on Stangl – Spook Handy

TAPinto Flemington-Raritan and the Flemington Community Partnership are combining efforts to present the “Summer Stage on Stangl”: free outdoor music concerts on “The Lawn on Stangl”, the new community space on Stangl Road in Flemington. All concerts will be on Wednesday evenings in August, starting at 6:30pm under a tent.
The first concert performance will be by Spook Handy. Spook performed alongside Pete Seeger more than 50 times in the last ten years of Pete’s life and is carrying forward the styles of Pete and others likes Woody Guthrie. Spook also has lots of new material to share including over a dozen new songs written during the pandemic lockdown and looks forward to reuniting with folk music lovers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Attendees need to bring chairs and blankets to sit on, and are welcome to bring food and drink. Please also bring a trash bag, to carry your trash out with you, as The Lawn at Stangl is an environmentally friendly area.
